CMRs, short for Carcinogenic, Mutagenic, or toxic to Reproduction substances, are chemicals known or suspected to cause cancer, genetic mutations, or reproductive harm. Phthalates are a group of chemicals commonly used to soften and increase the flexibility of plastics, and they are also used as solvents in fragrances. They have been linked to various health issues, including hormonal disruptions, reproductive problems, and adverse effects on the liver, kidneys, and lungs. These chemicals can enter our bodies through inhalation, ingestion, or skin contact, and prolonged exposure to them can pose serious risks to human health.
